TASK Wins Sydney Cricket Ground and Sydney Football Stadium

By Elsa Klein

TASK announced today that it has been selected by Venues NSW to deploy our transaction management platform across the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) and the new Sydney Football Stadium (SFS) precinct.

This exciting project coincides with the redevelopment of the SFS into a modern, world-class venue along with a new catering contract. With the SFS redevelopment in mind, and the desire to be at the cutting edge of technology and the forefront of guest and member experience, the Venues NSW team conducted an analysis of several systems, in the end ratifying the decision to implement TASK.

The solution consisting of not only state of the art point of sale, but also a plethora of customer-facing applications and web delivered system admin tools. The decision was bolstered, not only by TASK’s reputation as an industry leader, but also by the benefits of streamlining technology efficiencies gained by Venues NSW implementing TASK at all their other stadium venues in the state.

“The Venues NSW team had a lot of considerations to weigh up as we contemplated several key factors in this key technology decision. Not only is scalability and architecture vital, but we were also focused on the customer experience journey at SFS and an uplift from the previous system’s capabilities at SCG.

It was important to consider the efficiencies gained from the one solution across all our venues. TASK came up trumps in every facet of the evaluation and we are delighted to report that the team have proven to be knowledgeable, supportive, and agile in adapting solutions to business problems at every turn. We’re really looking forward to a future of innovation and partnership with this exceptional company” said Tim Blight, Head of Technology at Venues NSW.

“TASK is thrilled to be intrinsically involved in the technology platforms of not only one of the world’s most historic and renowned venues at the SCG, but also the extremely exciting redevelopment of the SFS, bringing all the TASK touchpoints to the Moore Park precinct” said Dean Houden, General Manager at TASK. “This is a landmark milestone for our company, as we continue our partnership with Venues NSW, partnering with their technology team to provide excellent guest experience at sporting grounds across the State.”
